Conference Weekend

I really enjoyed conference weekend. As ever before, I was so looking forward for it. And you know what? It is always worthy!!!!

This was my second time going to the Conference Center to watch General Conference. Thanks to my cool Bishop, Chris Justice, from my old ward-Provo YSA 41st Ward- I was blessed with this opportunity to go there for Sat. morning session. I haven't be felt the Spirit so strong as ever. I couldn't stop crying of joy for it. Every single talk was so good and intense. Love sister Dalton's talk about families! Some of the talks were...

Elder Richard Scott: He talked about the tools to be successful in life. Stressing more on the Scriptures as a key to unlock revelation, a translation of truth. Memorizing a scripture gives inspiration, comfort, and motivation. It gives you strength to Change!

Sister Barbara Thompson: Personal revelation and the Holy Ghost. Some revelation comes also by voice. By keeping a strong testimony will help us to go through trials.

Elder Whitney Clayton: He talked about the origins of the church in South America which made me remember about my talk last year for pioneer's day, "Pioneers in my Country."He shared his experience serving a mission in Peru and meeting with Alan Garcia, President of Peru back then. "The sun never cease on the work of the Lord."

Elder Jose L. Alonso: When we are in the service of our fellowmen, we are in the service of God. "Do right things, on a right time." We have to look for the lost ones, if we are late, we can lost them forever.

Elder Boyd K. Parker: By the words of Christ, the scriptures, it will tell you all things you should do, if you trust in the Lord with all your heart. Listen to the voice of the Spirit and you won't fail.

Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf: We are everything to God!

Elder Neil Andersen: "You grow the most when you are struggling with your spouse."

Elder Ian Andern: Managing time. "We must use our time wisely to achieve our goals." "Video games can't replace good real friends."

President Thomas S. Monson: "Fear thou not, because I am with thee."

Elder Dallin Oaks: Everyone who eats from the living bread that comes from Heaven, have Eternal life."

Elder Matthew O. Richarson: Become real. Be the type of missionary, lds member, sister, daughter that the Lord expects you to be. We should become what we must become. Life changes by real people.

Elder Kazuhiko Yamashita: If the Lord calls you, respond that call.

Elder Randall Bevel: You cannot make eternal choices without going through trials. We all face adversities, but we are never late to make good choices. Become self discipline. Choose between being busy in life or seeking the word of God and serving others.

Elder Dayn Cornish: We must live our prayers. Sweet voice of response of our prayers come as a feeling more than a sound. Miracles are arrived through prayer. He really answers me!

Elder Quentin L. Cornish: Some challenges come from the agency of others.

Finally, President Thomas S. Monson concluded by saying: "We are all in this together." We have meaning, hope, and purpose in life.

FRESHMAN YEAR 2011!

Well, hello there!

My freshman year officially started! I'm taking 12 credits: Math, English, and American Heritage, plus my two institute classes: Book of Mormon, and Dating and Courtship. I am taking a second block class that doesn't start until October 18th, it is American Heritage. I am excited about that even if I hadn't ever taken it before, but it's gonna be a fun challenge! I'm almost half way done.

So far, so good. I thought it would be hard since it is my first semester taking college classes in English. My grades are the highest ones in the class. Wow, who would guess that, especially for Math because I haven't taken it since Dec. 2006. Hopefully, my grades will stay that way so I can transfer to BYU. I am currently applying for a volunteer tutoring position in the Math Lab so I can work next semester as a tutor. I am sure I will get it. I love Math. I love helping others who are struggling with Math to understand the material in an easy way so they can enjoy it. I will be tutoring for Math 0920, 0950, 0950, 0980, 0990, 1000, and 1010. Dang! I think I am such a nerd. Some friends and classmates called me "Cute Nerd." what a compliment. hahaha well, I do what I can.

My new roommates are: Rachel (PG, Ut), Nicole (Nv), Janet (Mexico), and Aubrey (Provo, Ut).
They are cool. I'm so lucky for having them as my roommates. We do crazy things together. Our apartment is the least quiet from the whole apt. complex I guess hahahaha.

Conference weekend was the best!!!! since I was way ahead with my homework, I was able to go to the Conference Center and watch the Saturday session there. Good talks!!!! I love them: Repentance, scriptures, Origins of the church in South America, new temples announcements, become real, rescue less active and inactive members, families, sister's Dalton's talk!!!!. I will write about them soon.
