A Day to Remember for Ariunaa

November 19th, 2011. A day to remember!

for Ariunaa Gno (Mongolia)

So the Ward Missionary Leader from my UVU-YSA 32nd ward called me to ask if I could speak the next day for the baptism service of my friend. It was around 8pm after I got off from class, I told him that I personally do not like giving talks that I get nervous pretty easy and because of that, I tend to forget what I am talking about. He told me that Ariunnaa wants me to. Its hard for me to say no to things like that so I accepted. I didn't have so much time to prepare, I was overwhelmed with school and stuff going on, plus, I had class next day from 10:30 til 1:15pm, and the service was for 2pm. I talked about baptism, I had all my notes that I took the night before preparing my talk, but because I was nervous, I decided to share few notes from my journal, shared my own experience as a convert, I let the Spirit to guide me and give me the right words to transmit the message, and shared my testimony.
Everyone seemed to like it. And Ariunaa was so happy that day that she couldn't even explain it. I was so happy for her, the Spirit was so strong and all. And seeing her takinng the first step, reminded me when my sister Gretta and I took that step too. I am so blessed to be part of this big and wonderful family. I am so greatful to receive all blessings that Heavenly Father promised me because of my obedience and keeping the commandments. Im so greatful for so many things and the opportunity to help my friend to let her know about this wonderful plan of happiness and about all blessings that comes with it not just for her, but for her family and everyone who around her.
